Easy Sunday Brunch Ideas & Inspiration | A main dish recipe idea along with easy breakfast side dishes that are quick and easy. No stress entertaining!
With Easter coming soon, I thought I would share some easy Sunday brunch ideas. I love Sundays anyway…and if brunch is involved I love it even more. First of all, serving brunch eliminates a meal. Breakfast and lunch are combined so the day’s work is reduced. It’s a relaxing way to feed your family and friends. Many times you can set up a casual buffet and everyone can help themselves. First up is a Drake family favorite.
One of the easiest things to do for your main course is a make-ahead Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole. The ingredients are super simple and it’s all done the night before so it’s ready to go in the morning with no mess in your kitchen. I’ve been making this for so long that I know the ingredients by heart. I’ve also adapted the recipe into Breakfast Egg Muffins. You can find the recipe with both versions [HERE.]
So…you need something to go with your casserole or breakfast egg muffins…right? I have two amazing easy Sundy brunch ideas for side dishes. The first is Cinnamon Roll Cake.
This is an easy coffee cake that uses basic ingredients from your pantry. I usually make a small 8 x 8 cake, but the recipe, which can be found [HERE], is baked in a 9 x 13 pan that is big enough to feed a crowd.
Next is a Sour Cream Coffee Cake. I use a bundt pan for this and it really does make a beautiful addition to your brunch menu. You can definitely make this the day before too. Just store in an air-tight container and it will stay fresh for several days…but it probably won’t last that long! Click [HERE] for the recipe.
If these two coffee cakes won’t work for your family, take a look at my Quick Breads category. Quick breads are a great substitute for coffee cakes and all of the recipes can be made into muffins. (If you prefer.)
To round out your menu, a bowl of fresh fruit works perfectly. If you want a little project that the kids can help with, make fruit kabobs. They are so pretty and super easy to serve. Top things off with juice and coffee.
I thought at the last minute you might want to print off your menu…especially if you are serving a buffet. You could pop it in a frame and set it beside your plates/utensils. I made a printable of the menu chalkboard.
