Celebrate fall with 70+ updated ideas for decor, crafts, recipes, and printables to make your home warm and welcoming.

When August arrives, and the days are getting shorter, my mind begins to think about fall. It’s a lovely time of year, and in this post, that’s what we’re celebrating. There are over 75 ideas that provide endless inspiration. Included are cozy decor ideas, fun and easy crafts, free printable wall art, and so much more. What follows is truly the ultimate guide to celebrating autumn, and I encourage all of you to enjoy and savor every minute.

Fall means something different to everyone. For me, itโs all about adding cozy, comfortable touches to my home. That might be layering throws and pillows, lighting a favorite candle, or baking a loaf of pumpkin bread. Even if you donโt go all out with seasonal decor, a few well-chosen accessories can bring warmth and personality to your spaces. Donโt be afraid to think beyond the traditional. While I love classic autumn colors, thereโs no rule that says everything has to be orange and brown. Choose pieces that reflect your personal style, and youโll always feel at home. To get started, hereโs one of my most popular fall ideas…a simple way to preserve real pumpkins and gourds so they last for months.
How to Preserve Pumpkins & Gourds
I first shared this method in 2018, and since then itโs been pinned more than 22,000 times. Itโs by far the most popular fall post on the blog…and for good reason. This quick, foolproof process works on pumpkins and gourds of any size, helping them last for months. Best of all, you probably already have everything you need right in your kitchen.

I absolutely love your sofa. I know itโs not available any longer. Is the color white or off white? I have followed your blog for about seven years. I love all of your posts.
Hi Reda…my sofa is definitely off-white. At night, it looks almost beige. But I mix it with other ivories, beiges, and whites. Thank you!
Hi Ann, Lovely ideas and decor, as always.
I didn’t see sources for the pillows in the white chairs or the brown pillows on the sofa. Love the fabric of those on the sofa. Please share if available.
Thank you and Happy Fall!
Hi Mildred…both pillow cover styles sold out right away. I got them at Target last year and they were gone by mid-September. Wish I could be more helpful!
Ann, you have given us so many wonderful ideas for us to incorporate into our Fall decorating. Thanks for all your help. We know it takes so much time to put this together for us. I appreciate you so much, Ann! Also, I am also going to use my Fall items I have and not purchase anything. Since moving into our new condo, I know I will probably be giving lots of my Fall items away. Have a great week, Ann! Thanks for being so special!
Ann,
Thank you for the fall inspiration!!!
In your Friendsgiving menuโฆ.do you serve salad first? If so, is the table set with soup bowls or are they set aside? Do you put salad in bowl to serve or fix your self? Iโm not sure how to remove plates or bowls from table setting in order to serve menu itemsโฆetiquette is my down fall.
Your autumn ideas are fantastic and beautiful.
Hi Carol…yes, I served the salad first. Before everyone sat down, I removed the bowls, and moved the smaller plate off the dinner plate for bread. So the smaller plate was for bread. I had smaller white plates for the salad that aren’t pictured. After the salad, I served the soup, and put the bowl directly on the dinner plate. I hope this helps!
I love your ideas and your pictures! Thank you for the help. God bless
Love every one of these ideas! Makes me yearn for fall.
Ann,
Looking forward to your fall posts as always. I am looking forward to trying the pumpkin bread, too. Blessings!

Good morning Ann,
I love it when my favorite bloggers start posting Autumnal inspirations from their past postings and the seasonal changes from where they live. I live in Hades, ok in the low desert, so this makes me feel cool and excited for the coming season, my favorite, Fall!
Always enjoy your thoughts, projects, and food:).

Oh, I love this. First, I love your home, but now I don’t have to go back through all your archives looking for something I read somewhere, oh where was that? Your style and dรฉcor are stunning and perfected. I will be using this a lot this fall. Thanks again, and by the way I like it that you don’t paint all your lovely furniture pieces. You just make them more beautiful.
Linda
Love the post! Keep up the great work :)
I love our 4 Seasons, but I love especially the Fall:
Ann, never stop posting! I enjoy your posts, especially about fall. I recently posted this on my Facebook page. It may not rhyme, but it is how I feel about fall. From Sept. 1, I get excited about fall and Christmas. It is my favorite season. Thanks again, Alice
I love the color of fall leaves, and watching them float down.
Crisp mornings and using our wood pellet stove.
Dogs snuggling up to keep us warm.
Drive out in the country to see the beautiful country scenery.
Warm throws on the chairs to snuggle under and read a good book.
The smell of apple pie in the oven.
Wood piles next to houses, ready to put to use.
Pumpkins and mums at fruit stands and even the grocery stores.
These are my favorite things and the coming of Christmas!
I love changing of the weather and the crafts that come along with it.
I realy love this idea, putting it all in one place like that…and your free printables are very inspiring. I love the fall in all its glories from colours, food and scents, so wonderful.
